Drum and Bass
Drum and Bass (DnB) is an electronic dance music based on funk breakbeats with about 180 beats per minute (BPM). Although DnB exists since the early '90s I first realised the existance of it in 2005 when I downloaded a mix a friend recommended.Today - two years later - I'm still fascinated of the simplicity and (paradoxical) variety of DnB. I mainly hear Neurofunk which is a sub-genre of DnB which has its origin in the late '90s (just name some famous producers in this time: Ed Rush & Optical, Matrix, Ryme Time).
After one year just listening to DnB I decided to buy two turntables, a mixer and some records (okay, change the order: I first bought some records, what resulted in buying the other equipment :-) ). Now I own a collection over 200 records and had gigs in several clubs in south germany.
