General Information
At the end of the lecture is a 90 minutes written exam (graded).
Apart from one assignment, you can solve the past exams to prepare
for the exam.
Topics
Enterpise Application Integration is a set of technolgies and best practices used to
compose new applications on the basis of existing server systems.
In large companies the development of legacy systems consumes a lot of time, money and is
of a high risk. The development of new systems therefore is based on the proven functionality of
the existing systems. Because the existing systems are usually build with outdated technologies,
the new system has to bridge the gap between old and new technology.
After a brief repetition of some topics as given in the lecture "Verteilte Informationssystem" we start to investigate the problems and solutions
that occur when different system have to be integrated.
